BX1000 Bluetooth analyzers

Yokogawa Electric has unveiled the BX1000 Bluetooth protocol analyzer for testing communications by a Bluetooth terminal on a piconet, and can issue host-control interface commands. The BX1000 can formulate host-control interface command sequences and transmit them while receiving responses at the same time. The device can also analyze profiles to allow the mutual connection between characteristic of Bluetooth equipment. It can also be connected to personal computers through a USB port.

MS4623B vector network analyzers

Anritsu Corp of Japan has introduced four new vector analyzers in 1999. The MS4623B series of network analyzers can quickly and accurately measure the S parameters of transmission and reception duplexers and other devices. They are also capable of measuring over a maximum 125 dB wide dynamic range and respond to the measurement of the broadband CDMA mobile telephone systems and electronic parts for digital broadcasting. Their prices range from $24,810 and up.

ICR-B35 digital voice recorders

Sanyo Electric Company Ltd has introduced the ICR-B35 digital voice recorder. The proudct incorporates an 8MB flash memory. Recording times are 33 minutes in standard mode and 197 minutes in the extended recording mode. Its three recording modes include Dialog, for conversations and interviews, Conference, to record speakers some distance from the recorder, and Lecture, to record someone who is speaking in a spacious room. The product sells for $148.
