New system automates Lilco's service restoration

Long Island Lighting Co. uses an autosectionalizing and autorestoration system to ensure rapid fault isolation and service restoration. The system is based on actual current and voltage data, switch positions and circuit breaker condition.

Optical metering: solving the substation problem
