DA-98HR digital tape recorders

Article Abstract:

Teac Corp has introduced the DA-98HR digital tape recording system which features a 24-bit, eight-track configuration. The product can record and replay an eight-track system at 44.1 or 48kHz. It processes four tracks at 88.2 or 96kHz, or two tracks at 176.4 or 192kHz. Recordings can be made in digital-only environments since the recorder comes standard with TDIF-1 adn AES/EU input and output terminals. The product sells for $7,407.

Compact TP-IC10 tape recorders

Article Abstract:

Aiwa Company Ltd has released a tape recorder that is specifically aimed at language students. The TP-IC10 is a compact device that is capable of repeating a specific portion of a tape without the need to wait. Aiwa's TP-IC10 tape recorder, which incorporates a 300mW amplifier for a 50mm diameter amplifier, also features the company's Sound Level Sensor System for automatic stopping, starting and recording at specific sound levels.

XR-D400, XL-R5000 CD recorders

Article Abstract:

Victor Company of Japan Ltd introduces the XR-D400 CD recorder, which can dub music from a CD to a recordable CD (CD-R) or rewritable CD (CD-RW). It can also function as an external drive for CD-Rs and CD-RWs when working with personal computers running under the Windows operating system. Furthermore, it offers quadruple-speed dubbing when editing music from one CD to another, without requiring a connection to a personal computer.
