Delivering competition

Article Abstract:

Freight delivery companies that have experience in logistics are finding their business knowledge is useful to companies not in the freight deliver industry. Companies such as Federal Express, United Parcel Service and Skyway Freight Systems are finding that their computer systems, having been tweaked throughout the years, are valuable to other companies with supply chain logistics. One business relationship that has blossomed from simply sending freight to something more substantial is the one between FedEx and National Semiconductor. FedEx has been shipping National Semiconductor products since 1992 and has recently integrated their computer systems so that when National gets an order, FedEx gets the same order with instructions on delivery.

In Hong Kong: change and competition

Article Abstract:

This development is considered by Hong Kong firms as positive for this will increase business traffic in the region. They are, however, preparing themselves to cope with a more competitive business environment.
