Detroit Accelerating Autosound Engine: Making All the Right Moves

Article Abstract:

GM, Ford and Chrysler are all upgrading their autosound equipment. Aftermarket autosound dealers are feeling increased competition from Detroit automakers. It is estimated that in 1983, forty percent of all new cars sold came with stereo systems. Aftermarket dealers feel that the automobile industry's concern with sound equipment increases consumer awareness.

The Election: What Does It Mean to You?

Article Abstract:

Consumer electronics retailers feel that the 1984 presidential election will not have a long range effect on the market because it has stabilized. Today's consumer of electronics is not affected by political trends. Few retailers are concerned about the deficit and interest rates.

Legal issues involving satellite communications were the main topic of talk at the SPACE-ST TI show. The home satellite industry is concerned about the Goldwater-Gore bills, the Wichita viewing rights case and the entry of Japanese manufacturers into the market.
