New-car sales, CD trends compose brisk tempo for car A/V

Article Abstract:

The US continues to be the biggest aftermarket for car audio-video (A/V) equipment in the world. This is due to widespread vehicle ownership in the country, a fact that has been used as the basis for a number of marketing strategies that have been employed by Japanese car A/V manufacturers when addressing this market. The strong car A/V aftermarket is also aided by a strong emphasis on CDs, the brisk sales of new cars and the continuing prosperity of the US economy.
