FM PenNote T3 mobile computers

Article Abstract:

Fujitsu Ltd has developed the FM PenNote Model T3 pen-operated computer which runs under the Windows98 operating system. The product can opperate busines tasks such as tracking stock inventories and inquiring about delivery dates wihtout the use of a mouse or a keyboard. It adopts a 10.4- in thin-film transistor LCD that uses anti-reflection material for improved outdoor visibility. It is resistant to the spatterings and drippings of liquids due to a special processing conducted on the screen.

Mobile computers blur boundaries between data, communications

Article Abstract:

The worldwide market for mobile computers is expected to remain vibrant with the development and introduction of innovative models. The latest lines are lighter, thinner and more compact but feature faster processing speed and wide range of applications. Manufacturer are also coming out with products with more specialized uses such as for entertainment, Internet, Global Positioning System applications and satellite communications.

RW-A270 mobile computers

Article Abstract:

Sharp Corp's RW-A270 mobile computer, which operates in outdoor settings such as on office desktops and construction sites, employs Sharp's Shoin IME for Pen OCR software, for accurate character recognition of Roman and Japanese script. Aside from an 8.4-inch Super Mobile thin-film transistor color LCD, other features of the product include a 3.2GB hard disc drive, a built-in monaural speaker system and a 32MB RAM, among others.
