JVC of America refines A/V products in mid-range plan

Article Abstract:

Victor Company of Japan Ltd (JVC) aims to reach $2 billion sales of audio- visual equipment for home use by 2002. To accomplish this, the Japanese consumer electronics manufacturer has formulated a plan that will enhance its brand image, improve product development technologies and expand sales channels. In addition, JVC will establish the New Products and Specialty Marketing Division that will be in-charge of exploring potential business opportunities.

JVC's 1-touch Compulink facilitates control, operating convenience in high-tech systems

Article Abstract:

Victor Co of Japan Ltd (JVC) offers home theater systems that incorporate the Compulink Control System, a one-touch operation functionality. With Compulink, turning on the DVD player will automatically turn on other JVC- made components such as the TV and audio-video receiver. JVC's home theater lineup can be classified into three: low-cost home theater system packages, simple systems built around standard TVs, and combinations of components.
