LC82310/G decoder LSIs

Article Abstract:

Sanyo Electric Company Ltd has developed the LC82310/G MP3 decoder LSI. The product uses Sanyo's own hard-wired decoder circuit. It consumes one- third to one-fourth the power of other products. The internal operation frequency and the power consumption are as low as 4.2MHz and 25mW, respectively, due to the use of technologies for low power consumption and low-voltage operation. The product, which comes in SQFP-64 and other packages, is priced at 3,000 yen.

Article Abstract:

Toshiba Corp's TA2136N and TA2136F three-dimensional sound LSIs improve the audio capabilities of personal computers, game systems and audio-video (A/V) products. Adopting Sound Retrieval System Laboratories Inc's Sound Retrieval System, the LSIs carry 40% fewer external parts compared with typical models. Features of TA2136N and TA2136F include built-in space control, bypass modes and built-in center control functions.
