Lead-free ceramic capacitors by TDK

Article Abstract:

TDK Corp has introduced a large-capacity laminated ceramic capacitor with nickel electrodes that uses a lead-free dielectric material. It is suitable for replacing conventional large-capacity ceramic capacitors that are usually used for smoothing circuits on the secondary side of power supplies. TDK's lead-free ceramic capacitors have been designed with X5R characteristics specified by the Electronic Industries Alliance.
