MK2001MPL 1.8-inch hard drives

Article Abstract:

Toshiba Corp's MK2001MPL 1.8-inch hard disc drive is only 5mm tall and weighs 55g yet it has a 2GB capacity and operates on 3.3V supplies. When it is not operating the drive can withstand up to 1,000G. Compatible with PC Card Type II standards, the product will work in existing and upcoming PC Card slots. It serves equipment, such as personal computers, digital cameras, digital camcorders, digital music players, digital set-top boxes, digital VCRs, car navigation systems and other handheld mobile terminals.

JU-226AXX3 floppy disc drives

Article Abstract:

Matsushita Communication Industrial Company Ltd has introduced the JU- 226AXX3 floppy disc drive as a built-in model. The product incorporates aluminum alloys in thte main body to attain a drop-shock resistance of 250G. It is also one of the lightest drives yet at 107g, in comparison to 179g for conventional models. Its height is just 0.5 inch. The transverse seek carriage contributes to a square, compact design for use in mobile terminals.

LK-RW7585TZ CD-R/R/w drive by Matsushita

Article Abstract:

Matsushita Electric Industrial Company Ltd and Matsushita-Kotobuki Electronics Industries Ltd have introduced the LK-RW7585TZ recordable and rewritable CD drive (CD-R and CD-RW). The computer peripheral uses an optical head unit that supports 8x-speed CD-R writing, 4x-speed CD-RW rewriting and 32x-speed reading. It also has a 2MB buffer memory that ensures writing stability.
