New data prove C-T's reliability

Article Abstract:

Data from 76 combustion-turbine plants was collected to test reliability and availability. The test was conducted under certain conditions: equalization of early breakdowns, distinguishing between inherent and noninherent failures, and reliability parameters. It was found that combined turbines are highly rated in reliability and availability can be improved by outage planning.
