Pioneer rigs out its CD-R mechanism with minicomponent system

Article Abstract:

Pioneer Corp's X-RM7 all-in-one minicomponent system features a built-in recordable CD (CD-R) mechanism, enabling users to edit tracks and produce original, custom CDs. Carrying two output and three input terminals to connect to external sources, the product also boasts of a direct recording and programming capability for CD to CD recording. X-RM7 also allows users to perform MD-to-CD or CD-to-MD recording by linking the system to a portable MiniDisc recorder.

Dual-function changers enrich scope of Kenwood's MD system

Article Abstract:

Kenwood Corp's new Allora XT-5MD minicomponent stereo system features a multiple-control graphical user interface that allows simple and reliable operation. It incorporates two MD recording mechanisms and a three-disc changer for diverse editing functions as well as disc dubbing capabilities. XT-5MDs, which optionally adopt SW-05-subwoofer speakers, became available in Japan on Jun 1, 1998.

Kenwood spotlights Malaysian-designed minicomponent

Article Abstract:

Kenwood Electronics Technologies Malaysia, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kenwood Corp, has started commercial production of single-body minicomponent audio systems with three-compact disc changers. These minicomponents were designed and developed at the company's Research and Development Center. Kenwood expects to release these minicomponents in the ASEAN region, US and Europe in Mar 2001.
