Rodriguez leads changes at Warrantech

Article Abstract:

Warrantech is being reorganized by the newly-promoted Rick Rodriguez with a marketing stance in mind. Rodriguez, who is now president of Warrantech Home Service Company and Warrantech Consumer Product Services, predicted that the firm will perform satisfactorily in 1998 due to the expertise of its employees at the two companies that he heads. Rodriguez is actually an 11-year veteran at Warrantech who took the place of Kevin Rupkey who is now Federal Warranty Service Corp. vice president of sales and marketing.

Warrant changes fuel faster service

Article Abstract:

Warranty companies are shifting their focus towards improved customer communications. Federal Warranty Service Corp has adopted a three-call-center strategy and hired A-plus certified technicians to boost their services. National Electronic Warranty is also expanding its call center and will adopt Internet technology to beef up its services. Other companies that are adopting similar strategies are AIG WarrantyGuard and GE's Service Management Group.

12V vendors' goal: navigation made easy

Several companies have developed in-car navigation systems with the potential to create an audio and video environment in motor vehicles. Alpine offers several monthly installment schemes for a navigation product that features the NVA-N751AS system and either a 4.6- or a 5.6-inch monitor. Other companies releasing similar products are Blaupunkt with a TravelPilot brand amd Magellan's 750NAV model.
