Sharp's XV-Z8000 LCD projectors

Article Abstract:

Sharp Corp has introduced the XV-Z8000 LCD projector featuring three 3-in thin-film transistor LCDs with 1,024x768 pixels. The XV-Z8000 comes with a dichroic prism for the reproduction of delicate neutral prints as well as digital circuitry to make brightness more even. It is also equipped with a 10-bit digital processing circuit and a three-dimensional Y/C separation circuit for reducing dot interference and cross color. Interlace signals are changed to progressive signals through an I/P conversion circuit.

CP-X955J multimedia LCD projectors

Article Abstract:

Hitachi Ltd has introduced its CP-X955J LCD projector. The product features a panel with a microlens in the LCD to prevent light loss and improve brightness; and a short-arc 150W lamp to deliver 1,200 lumens (ANSI) with low power consumption. It accomodates XGA signals, and resizes and displays images from VGA, SVGA and SXGA signals. CP-X955J carries a price tag of 1.2 million yen ($9,386). Hitachi also released the companion 5-kg, A4 CP-S835J which is priced at 798,000 yen ($6,541).

LP-A7 home theater projectors

Article Abstract:

Sanyo Electric Company Ltd has introduced the DV Theater LP-A7 liquid crystal projector for use with home theater systems. The LP-A7 features component input terminals and a digital RGB matrix for projecting fine- line quality images from digital satellite systems. It is also equipped with a 1.3mm UHP lamp that delivers 500 lumens and a cooling fan to keep noise at 32 dBA. The LP-A7 also has a 1.2x manual zoom and focus and digital keystone correction.
