Sharp's sensitive Mike, 22x Zoom, D-jack enhance camcorder creativity

Article Abstract:

Sharp Corp has launched in Japan the VL-MR1 LCD Digital ViewCam, a digital camcorder with LCD and a 22x optical power zoom that can capture full- screen images of a child at full height from a distance of 40 meters. The product also comes with an extremely sensitive microphone coupled with zomm lens for capturing distant voices clearly and distrinctly. Furthermore, the digital camcorder has a special D-jack video-out connector for linking the 680,000-pixel CCD directly to a progressive scan.

Ease of use characterizes Canon's latest digital camcorder

Article Abstract:

Canon Inc has launched the FV10 digital videocassette camcorder in May 2000. The product features a 200x digital zoom lens, a 10x optical zoom lens and shake-compensation technology. It also comes with a 1/4-inch CCD that integrates 460,000 pixels and a 2.5-inch LCD monitor. The camcorder is compatible with NTSC signal format, and employs the Mini DV recording system.
