Switchyard serves many masters

Article Abstract:

The Merchant switchyard's main feature is its various interconnections from different utilities which enable it to service two utility grids, an independent system operator and a combined-cycle power plant. The switchyard has a five-breaker, ring-bus arrangement that allow for future expansion.
