Matsushita molds projects for single European market

Matsushita Electric Industrial Co Ltd is restructuring its European operations to make them more responsive to the region's single currency regime. The company expects to complete the restructuring by Jun 2002, when the phaseout of all local European currencies with the euro is expected to be completed. For the meantime, the company will conduct all its European transactions in the euro, 30% in pound sterling and 10% in other currencies.
