TCX0110 plugs, TCK0100 connectors
Article Abstract:
Hosiden Corp's TCX0110 plug and TCK0100 socket, which use a sequential structure that guarantees the power terminal makes contact first, occupy 1/13 the voltage of earlier Universal Serial Bus (USB) connectors. Also called as the Super Slim Bus Connector, the four-pole device can transmit USB signals. The TCX0110 measures 8.5 x 7.5 x 30.5mm. The socket is 5.0 x 3.5 x 8.7mm. Ratings include DC 5.25V and 0.5A or less, AC 30V and 1A 30m Ohms or lower. The insertion force is 15N or less, while the extraction force is 3.9-15N.

DCS 9-pin connectors
Article Abstract:
Tyco Electronics has introduced the DCS 9-pin LCD connector featuring a preload function for better contact reliability. The DCS is suitable for automatic mounting and does not require its mating partner to connect boards to LDC panels. It is 1.1 mm tall and has a stroke of 0.8 mm, with insulation partitions around nearby contact parts to prevent short- circuits during mounting. It comes in embossed taping formats and allows for surface mounting.

TM 21 8-core modular connectors
Article Abstract:
Hirose Electric Company Ltd has released an eight-core connector that complies with TIA/EIA-568A-5 CAT5e as well as Enhanced Category 5 standards. The company's modular connector, which consists of the TM21P- 88P plug and the TM21R-5a-3232-LP receptable, is aimed at the measuring instruments and local area network equipment market. Hirose's eight-core connector also complies with the ISO8877 ISDN standard for interface connectors.
