It's 8mm, It's VideoMovie...It's Super Half-Inch VCR
Article Abstract:
High-performance, feature full, half inch VCRs will probably win out over 8mm and other systems. Research is being conducted in Japan to come up with improved Beta and VHS video recording techniques. The research is aimed at getting 400 lines of resolution and boosting signal-to-noise ratio by ten percent. Research was stimulated by the introduction of the miniaturized portable camera recorder combinations. An improved half inch deck would kill any chance of the 8mm format being successful.
