Bigger seems better

Article Abstract:

Communication equipment manufacturers such as Panasonic, Toshiba and Thomas Consumer Electronics have introduced 2.4 gigahertz (GHz) cordless phones in 1999. The 2.4 GHz technology was immediately accepted by the consumer market and perceived better than 900 megahertz cordless products for it provides better sound quality and clarity. Meanwhile, other manufacturers intend to continue focusing on producing and marketing Caller ID telephones which also demonstrated rising patronage.

Increasing competition in cyberspace has prompted e-retailers to introduce value-added features in their websites to expand customer base and establish differentiation from their competitors. They realized that offering popular products at reasonable prices is not enough to attract and keep clients. Some of these extra features include detailed product information, product reviews, sweepstakes and games.
