The portable player DVD a-go-go!

Article Abstract:

Manufacturers of portable DVD players have launched their latest lines to tap the growing demand for the product. Total sales of DVD players are projected to reach 4 million units in 1999. Among the latest models are Sony Corps DVD Discman PBD-V30, which features a dual optical pick-up for optimum disc playback, a 96Khz.20-bit audio D/A converter and a 10-bit video converter; Panasonic's Palm Theater line which includes the DVD-L10, the DVD-l150, the DVD-P10 and the DVD1500; Pioneer's PDV-LC10, which features TFT active matrix color LCD wide screen; and Aiwa's XD-DP1 and XD-DW1 players.

Cabling with HDTV disconnect

Article Abstract:

Connectors and cables are expected to play an important role in the future of high definition television (HDTV). The first HDTV sets are expected to connect with existing audio/visual equipment while HD-ready TVs must be able to link with HDTV set-top boxes. Future HDTV sets are also supposed to be cable ready. Available cables and connectors that are capable of providing such features include the M-1000 Silver Series from Monster Cable and High Definition Series from Apature Products.

10 steps to better digital images

Article Abstract:

Digital camera users need to remember a number of ways to produce better images. These include avoiding backlighting, minimizing the use of image compression, editing images using the erase or delete feature in order to store more images and remebering to bring a backup power supply. Other tips include getting closer shots, watching camera speed, protecting the lens, downloading images immediately, using filters and preparing a suitable backup camera.
