Under New Leadership, AT&T Staying the Course in Second Half

Article Abstract:

AT&T plans to continue being the broadest telephone supplier. Several personnel changes have been made in management. The company has introduced the Ranger series of basic phones starting at $29.95, showing its interest in the competitively priced market. The reduction of Genesis system prices was also announced. AT&T expects unit sales of phones to reach twenty-five to thirty million. Cordless phone sales are expected to reach between 3.5 million and five million units. The company is ready to market a line of five new cordless phones in the second half of 1984.

'Mohandas.' (a spoof on Disney movies, this time on Mahatma Gandhi)(Endpaper)(Column)

Article Abstract:

A satirical description of Gandhi as the latest subject for a Disney movie is presented. Mohandas Gandhi has his body resculpted and with the dubbed in voice of Michael Jackson stars in the movie. A dancing, singing Gandhi-center film is created.
