The Impact of Vector Processors on Petroleum Reservoir Simulation
Article Abstract:
Advances in computer technology have brought advances in reservoir simulation techniques. Trends include the use of more computing cells in reservoir models, the incorporation of more complex physics in these models, and the use of more robust mathematical models. Vector processors have allowed implicit formulations to include field-scale models. Performances of vector systems are compared for typical reservoir simulator activities.

Application of Running Hartley Transform in adaptive digital filtering
Article Abstract:
The Running Discrete Hartley Transform (RDHT) is developed and implemented in the least mean square (LMS) algorithm to improve the convergence rate in adaptive nonrecursive digital filtering. An RDHT filter is implemented in an adaptive line enhancer. The transform is shown to offer superior speed and less computational complexity than fast Fourier transforms.
