Implementation of digital filtering algorithms using pipelined vector processors

Article Abstract:

A newly developed digital vectorization method is discussed that implements recursive and adaptive filtering algorithms on pipelined vector processors efficiently. Such algorithms usually lead to dependency problems in direct vector processor implementations. Multiple output samples are computed simultaneously by the method, which makes the vector length independent of the filter order. Theoretical results are compared with Cray X-MP simulation results. A complete discussion of the implementation of digital filtering algorithms based on models of vector processors and vectorization methods is included.

Technological Design Considerations for Monolithic MOS Switched-Capacitor Filtering Systems

Article Abstract:

MOS integrated circuit technology has the ability to store signal-carrying charge packets for long periods of time. The first MOS switched capacitor filtering system was introduced in 1979. The performance of a monolithic SC filtering system is critically dependent upon the properties of the basic components. Monolithic MOS SC filters offer many advantages over their continuous-time counterparts. A circuit diagram of an SC integrator with lumped parasitic capacitance is included.

A novel technique for the on-chip tuning of monolithic filters

Article Abstract:

A method for on-chip tuning of monolithic analog filters is presented. The method utilizes amplitude detection, where the reference voltage is derived from the input. Its novelty lies in comparing the average value of the half-wave rectified output of the integrator with that of the input.
