JVC KD-MX3000

Article Abstract:

The JVC KD-MX3000 CD/MD receiver ($750) plays both traditional compact discs and minidiscs. It has a detachable face, with a busy user interface that has typical car stereo features such as ATT; FM1, FM2, FM3 and AM; up/down buttons for track/tuner; track INT(roscan); automatic or manual presetting into six preset buttons; and MO(no) reception/track RPT (repeat). It also features 3 EQ modes for different types of music. Though minidisc quality is not yet up to CD standards, this stereo offers quality playback for both formats.

Eclipse 5961 6-DISC IN-DASH CD CHANGER

Article Abstract:

Most automobile CD changers are mounted in the trunk, only allowing loading and unloading of CDs when the car is stopped. The Eclipse 5961 is a 6-disc, in-dash CD changer. The 5961 is $600, but an Eclipse head unit is necessary for basic control functions. The changer is fairly simply to operate and features all-disc random play. It is superior to other similar products on the market.
