A digital phosphor oscilloscope (DPO) for Everyman

Article Abstract:

Tektronix introduced a line of digital phosphor oscilloscopes (DPOs) with many advantages of the analog real-time ones and more recently introduced the TDS3000 series of six models with prices closer to the mainstream and lightweight, compact housing. The series has color liquid-crystal displays and high-speed acquisition memory of 10,000 bytes. Weight is 3.2 kg and the devices are 375 mm wide, 175 mm high, and 150 mm deep for real portability. Four application modules are included, and others cost $495 each.
