A framework for designing efficient value chain networks
Article Abstract:
A two-phase quantitative framework is proposed to effectively choose an efficient and a compatible set of business partners. The first phase involves the use of data envelopment analysis to determine efficient candidates for each type of business process, such as manufacturing and distribution. The second phase entails the use of an integer goal programming model to identify the best portfolio of efficient partners based on a number of compatibility objectives.
