A recipe for well-done procedures: Seven steps that help reduce time, costs and confusion

Article Abstract:

Organisations wishing to develop procedures quickly, cheaply and effectively are advised to put together a team including a technical writer, subject matter expert, facilitator and four to six staff members. Identification of the scope of the procedure should take place next, along with key issues and the development of a work flow process. The draft produced should be circulated for comments, completed and circulated on an intranet or Internet.

10 steps to positive cash flow

Article Abstract:

REL Consultancy Group Dir John Cravenho provided 10 management schemes for better trade debt collection. Cravenho stressed that several firms are still using account management procedures which hamper payment. Cash flow, therefore, can be upgraded by basic reforms in customer accounting methods and controls. Companies should ensure complete control over every aspect of the accounting process, from sales order to payment collection.
