Fisher-Rosemount's Asset Management Solutions Release 5.0 has been designed to help plant personnel in device configuration, calibration and diagnosis of equipment problems. This enhanced version provides information for 84 new field devices, increases the maximum tag count and adds support for more calibrators and multiplexers. In addition, it features improved client/server functionality and OLE for process control.

Honeywell Hi-Spec Solutions' Profit Loop software enables model predictive control technology to be applied to base-level regulatory control loops. It is especially suited to handle difficult control problems, which standard regulatory control algorithms are not optimallu suited to solve. The company claims that the application of the software will improve control performance and reduce loop maintenance.
