Better ways to borrow from the bank: though the old joke has it that banks only lend you money if you can show that you don't really need it, many businesses relay on loans to help them balance their cash flows

Article Abstract:

The overdraft can be the simplest and most convenient way to borrow money although it is technically repayable on demand and the facility could be withdrawn at any time. It should only be considered for the short term and if the swing between debit and credit ceases a switch to a loan should be considered. Short term loans can be placed in a separate account with set repayments covering capital an dinterest. Long term loans would have to be secured and bridging loans may require the full purchase price to be bridged. The government's Small Firms Loan Guarantee Scheme is available to new and existing businesses and can be repaid over two to seven years.

Switching over to relay

Article Abstract:

Relay controlled lighting can be used in conjunction with other operational functions within a building but in some installations relay controlled lighting is too complex and the system does not facilitate a dimmer control. Relay controlled lighting has a separate switching circuit therefore does not need an individual switch for every circuit. Relay controlled units are cheaper and quicker to install, yet the systems have only been utilized for large commercial projects in the United Kingdom, whilst in Europe it has been widely used since the 1950s.
