PFIT2

Article Abstract:

Technical Database Services Inc introduces PFIT2, a software that provides a time-saving way to obtain binary interaction parameters for industry- standard models, which characterize the properties of fluid mixtures. It use simplifies the process of modelling the phase equilibrium behavior of fluid mixtures. Data 'fits' can be carried out using a choice of obejective functions and the data points can be individually weighted.

Tankjkt

Article Abstract:

Chemengsoftware.com's Tankjkt software was designed to model heat transfer in jacketed tanks, including half-pipe coil, dimple and conventional jackets. It estimates heat-transfer coefficients, calculates pressures drop through the jacket and calculates the rate of heating or cooling. The program contains physical properties for more than 100 jacket fluids, as well as common vessels and lining materials.
