Corrective action in the real world

Article Abstract:

Training sessions on corrective action process by the customer may improve the status of corrective action requests (CARs) and bridge the existing gap between customers and suppliers. CARs by small customers generally remain unattended by suppliers. Misunderstandings in the customer-supplier relationships also add to the delay in responding to CARs. Every customer is not benefited by the corrective action guidelines, notwithstanding their usefulness. Some guidelines for corrective action are presented.
