Customer feedback from the classroom

Article Abstract:

High-school principals have too many responsibilities to spend enough time interacting with teachers and students. Because of time constraints, one principal decided to develop a customer feedback form that would tell her what teacher needs she is not meeting. After administering a survey, the principal and her staff analyzed the results and used them to develop an action plan. This approach to performance measurement has proven to be an effective tool for communication.

Distance learning in a cyber classroom

Distance learning through the use of digital transmission together with an audio/video link is gaining popularity in the teaching of low-demand courses. This system can be advantageous specially for rural states such as Iowa which offers educational programs at all levels and videoconferencing for medical, government and other agencies. Distance learning allows students and teachers in remote locations to discuss topics which would not have been otherwise possible.
