LeCroy Corp. is offering an active differential oscilloscope probe, the APO34, which is a good probe for applications that require good common-mode refection ratio, high bandwidth, and superior noise density. Modern communications systems often have low-voltage differential signaling to reduce slew rates. Differential drives make it easier to detect low voltages. The new probe is useful in this situation.
