E-procurement: a new management tool

Article Abstract:

Industria Solutions Inc., Mountain View, CA, set up the Global Project and Procurement Network to deal with shortcomings in the speed of transfer of complex information and electronic procurement (e-procurement), a new management tool. The company has done an extensive review of the dynamics of the process plant equipment (PPE) industry for chemical and energy plants. Supply chains for the two industries were found to be about 30% inefficient, but the problem was in information exchange.
