The essential project management manual

Article Abstract:

Engineering firms can save on costs and attain consistency in quality of service through the creation of a project management manual. Standardized operating procedures provide a balance for the constant restructuring undergone by most firms. The first step in creating a project management manual is to review the strengths and weaknesses of current procedures. A flow chart would be useful in depicting these processes. The manual should also include a clearly stated mission statement. Responsibilities of different positions should also be well delineated.
