Corporations tout social responsibility

Article Abstract:

Social responsibility pertains to people and organizations conducting business practices ethically and with sensitivity toward cultural, environmental, social, and economic issues. The contribution of the American Society for Quality, as well as the role of quality professionals as highlighted by the ISO 26000, is presented.

ISO 9000 makes integrated systems user friendly

Article Abstract:

The ISO 9000:2000, a user friendly standard, provides for organizations to use a quality management system or change and improve the existing one. The five rudimentary components common to all the standards together influence the implementation, integration and improvement of the system.

An integrated approach system

Article Abstract:

A high performance organisation can be built by integrating different quality standards such as ISO 9000, Baldrige Criteria, Six Sigma and Lean and Balanced scorecard. These approaches are not independent of each other and can work in a mutually supporting and integrated manner.
