FEMLAB Chemical Engineering
Article Abstract:
COMSOL's FEMLAB Chemical Engineering software allows users to work in graphical user interface to model reactors fuel cells and more. It also allows uses to couple mass, heat and momentum balances with arbitrary expressions for the reaction kinetics in a system. The program contains ready-to-use predefined equations for momentum balances, including the Navier-Stokes equation, Darcy's law and the Brinkman equations for porous media flow.

NAG SMP Library
Article Abstract:
Numerical Algorithms has released the enhanced version of its NAG SMP Library. The new version features over 220 routines optimized to maximize performance on shared memory parallel systems. It includes 100 parallelized routines in the areas of FFTs, dense and sparse linear algebra, an drandom number generation, as well as 123 newly enhanced rputines covering ODEs, PDEs, optimization and multvariate statistics.
