Hedland Flow Meters has expanded its line of Flow-Alert flow switches with the introduction of three additional port sizes, an additional material option and double switches. The switches, which are suitable for virtually all hydraulic fluids, are touted to be insensitive to shock and vibration and can be installed in any position. The company is also offering additional switches in T316 and T303 stainless steel for high-pressure liquid and air applications.

8-port asynchronous serial card supports RS-485

Article Abstract:

ACCES I/O Products has introduced the PCI-COM 485/8 board, an 8-port asynchronous serial card that supports RS-485. The card, which functions in half-duplex communications mode, is touted to be able to operate in harsh conditions of 0 to +60 degrees Celsius and 5-95% relative humidity (noncondensing). In addition, the card comes with automatic control, which allows the driver/disables the receiver when data are ready for transmission.
