Fighting the nitrates

Article Abstract:

Researchers at Los Alamos National Laboratory developed a simple process for changing nitrate in wastewater to nitrogen gas. Nitrating have been a progressively greater problem needing a national response. Steel mills, mines, paper mills, fertilizer and explosives plants and food producers are major offenders, but agriculture, municipal waste, groundwater cleanup and drinking water industries need new nitrate removal methods. Topics include theoretical considerations and bench-scale testing in process development

Article Abstract:

Thousands of small and medium sized businesses are the mainstay of the UK economy. The Enterprise Group of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in their report, Barriers to Growth, claim these small companies encounter more problems than do their French or German counterparts. The survey places businesses into size categories, and though each category had problems which were graded differently, common denominators were found.

Credit information is essential for businesses wishing to remain profitable and competitive. Various credit information agencies hold substantial data on most commercial organisations, including partnerships and sole traders, plus information on private citizens. Credit information can be used for debt recovery, fraud prevention, credit assessment and to ascertain the credit worthiness of potential new customers.
