Article Abstract:

The Royal Navy Fleet headquarters has been built to consolidate the administration of naval components ranging from submarines to the Royal Marines from a number of sites around the UK. The construction activities of the four-storey Royal Navy Fleet headquarters at Whale Island, off the coast of Portsmouth are discussed.

Safety at work

Article Abstract:

The Health and Safety Executive of the United Kingdom reported that one - third of workplace deaths take place in the construction industry and have the third highest prevalence of self - reported illness. The construction industry's safety norms and practices are discussed.
