Flexgate slurry knife gate valve

Article Abstract:

The Red Valve Co has unveiled a Flexgate slurry knife gate valve with an open bottom and a slotted configuration. The valve still features seats that remain tightly closed when the gate is retracted and the material is purged out through the open bottom. Standard features include a robust cast body and top works, 316 stainless steel gate and replaceable rubber seats with a bidirectional seal. The valve also has an inverted stuffing box for access to packing material without removing the valve body from the line.

Bestobell Steam Trap has introduced the Delta Element trap, a triangular- shaped bimetal strip of austenitic and ferritic stainless steels. The single-blade design of the steam trap, which uses a hybrid design that employs both thermostatic and thermodynamic principles, is touted to be able to provide quicker response than with typical stacked arrangements. In addition, the position of its stem prevents uneven wear on the sealing surfaces.
