Article Abstract:

The third European Film and Multimedia Festival has been held in Edinburgh, Scotland, hosted by the UK's Health and Safety Commission/Executive. The festival was aimed at health and safety trainers and educators, and information professionals within the broadcast, video or off-line media. Some 200 video entries from the European Union were submitted, all focusing on health and safety issues. The overall winner was the Health and Safety Executive's film on agricultural safety, aimed at agricultural students.

Flowcharting business processes

Article Abstract:

Flowcharting is an ideal tool for describing and analyzing business processes. Interviewing as a means of gathering flowchart data is useful when dealing with simple processes while thegroup method is best for more complicated functions. The six steps involved in the group method are discussed beginning with the identification of the processand defining its scope. The final step is the use of computerized charts that simplify access and use of data.

Bombay's antiques roadshow

Article Abstract:

There are a number of places where antiques can be purchased in Bombay, India. They include the Zaveri Bazaar, made up of both antiques shops and junk shops, and Collector's Paradise at Apollo Bunder. Here, prices are quite high, and it is worth turning instead to the very small shops such as Heeramaneck. It is very hard to find antiques warehouses, as they are located in back streets and are almost invisible.
