Leadership is essential to managing success

Article Abstract:

The Director of Civil Works of the Army Corps of Engineers firmly believes that leadership is an essential element for growth in the field of civil engineering management and in engineering-related businesses, especially because of rapid changes in the industry. Success in the engineering management profession will greatly and primarily depend on leadership in applying technical competence and managerial skills. Probably the best form of leadership is leadership by example that also adheres to certain basic values and principles.
