How a taser works: the stun gun shocks without killing - but how safe is it? Two experts take a look

Article Abstract:

Amnesty International reported that 150 people died after a Taser shock from 2001 to 2005. Tasers do not need to undergo testing or approval from agencies such as U.S. Food and Drug Administration so states have considered introducing laws regarding its use. Another side of the argument in the use of Tasers is a reported decline in the deaths of suspects and police officers after their introduction according to police departments.
