Imperfect harmony

Article Abstract:

The large amount of electrical commerce carried out by businesses means the quality of power supplied to buildings has become one of the most important elements in delivering service. The quality of electrical current may be affected by energy saving equipment or by the large amount of electrical equipment in any given location. Harmonic current interruptions may result in down time or overheating, making it vitally important to prevent such interruptions of the electrical flow. A thorough survey of existing and new equipment should determine the levels of harmonic flow required, preventing malfunctions.
