Management of people is an essential but complex responsibility in the corporate world. Managers have to comply with the fact that their area of responsibilities is frequently undefined and indeterminate. Supervisors, by virtue of their positions, are authorized to implement what they believe should be done. The supervisor-subordinate relationship is unique since the latter is required to implicitly trust the former's decisions. Guidelines, however, on this kind of relationship might assist in improving working attitudes.

The Box-Jenkins manual adjustment chart is a graphical technique that can be utilized in production operations. It correlates with a data model that is the exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA). The technique supports an observed deviation from target when an adjustment procedure is performed. Moreover, it does not need a plot of the data for an alternative graphical procedure is utilized to simultaneously plot the EWMA forecast.
