Nominating procedures are easy when you know how

Article Abstract:

The procedure for nominated subcontractors, architects and main contractors to negotiate a framework for discussing contract terms is outlined. The procedure is covered by Joint Contracts Tribunal Amendment 10 and has provision for subcontractors to undertake design work, to order and to fabricate materials before the nomination. Provision is also made for sub-contractors to withdraw from a contract and for main contractors to object to architect appointed sub-contractors. Disagreements over contract terms are also dealt with.

Budget for each operation and you're on line for success

Article Abstract:

Managing the finances of a project depends on good initial planning. The budget as set out in the contractor's estimate should be broken down into budgets for each individual operation. This enables accurate control of income, expenditure and profits and provides a simple link between time and financial control of the operations.
