Online configurators: streamlining equipment specification

Article Abstract:

Specifying process equipment usually involves the use of spreadsheets in comparing technical specifications, rules, and product data. Computerized tools have been developed in order to automate and streamline equipment specification and selection. The most sophisticated of these are called online configurators. Details regarding the use of these tools are also presented.
